Printing Bodyparts

Perhaps genetic engineering is closer (and safer) to being a treatment option or cure for epileptics than say…printing and replacing a portion of cerebral cortex. But, it’s interesting to think of the “what if”.

But, printing the neocortex, accord to Ray Kurzweil, is a likely inevitability as we get closer to reverse engineering the brain or send nano-bots in to it (http://blog.ted.com/2014/03/20/the-hierarchy-in-your-brain-ray-kurzweil-at-ted2014/).
