Seizures & Dementia – Alzheimer’s patients more prone to epilepsy, but epileptics more prone to Alzheimer’s?

 

Here’s a blurb from the Epilepsy Foundation’s website, regarding epilepsy and dementia in the elderly.  

Dementia is certain a comorbidity that I’ve pondered, but haven’t researched.  

Although, I am more curious as to long-term physiological effects of epilepsy as it relates to the induction of dementia.
